Connection issues

Hi I have a fellow virgin Broadband account holder who has been having issues with his connection.

The initial fault was found in a remote connection which was eventually sorted. He has however still got no connection and has spent many an hour waiting on the phone to get no result. He is a builder and it's interfering with his ability to get quotes across and order supplies. 

Whats his best course to get this sorted. He is not very technically minded so really needs an engineer at his address to sort it.

    If he's relying on broadband for his business he needs a more reliable business broadband account.  Virginmedia is a residential account and has no guarantee of service quality, and very limited technical support.

    Sorry to hear of the service concerns you're friend is experiencing. 

    The first port of call would be the Service Status page to check for any known issues and run some checks to see if the system can identify an issue with the service at that time. 

    Whether this is affecting WiFi or Ethernet connections would depend on the support. 

    If they're able to come here to the Community, we'd be able to assist them further if they need.
