Coax To Extra Box

I have a multiroom box that i cannot use fully as my engineer couldn't wire it up from outside.

Can I use a second COAX from my fibre box downstairs to the upstairs system?

    If you can't just this box as indented I wonder why the technician left it?  Is there a height restriction, i.e. over first floor, or a flat roof outside?  VM will not work over heights, or on a flat roof.  It "should" be possible to run a cable internally, but it would look rather unsightly I'm sure?

      It is over a flat roof, he said he wasn't allowed to cross the flat roof. He said if I spoke to  VM I'd be able to swap to a streaming box (sadly not true)

        Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐

        We're sorry to hear you're having issues with getting the additional box installed due to needing to access a flat roof. Our engineers are not insured to perform this work I'm afraid. If an additional box has already been added to the account then we wouldn't be able to swap it from a streaming box instead. You would need to cancel this and remove it from your account. Once the box is sent back, and processed by the returns team, as you'd only have the 1 box on your account, any additional boxes added would automatically be a Stream box. This is due to changes we've recently made.

        To remove the additional box, please speak to the team on 150 / 0345 454 1111. They can remove this for you and talk you through the returns process.

    Under no circumstances mess with VMs network coax yourself. Not only could you mess up your signal levels, it could cause issues with the rest of the network segment.

    VM do offer streaming boxes for multiroom now, so extending coax is not necessary.
