We have cancelled our contract today that is in my partners name, we are out of contract 06th October, the guy said because of 30 day notice period our contract will end 24th October.
At what point can I sign up in my name to get a new customer deal? Only from 24th October?

I'm sorry to hear you wish to cancel but I am happy to hear you wish to continue with Virgin Media. 😇
If an account is set up in a different name, there would need to be a 24 hour transition period from when the account is closed down from the previous account holder to the new one.
So from 25 October is when a new contract will be able to be taken out.
