Cable to neighbours property through mine

Virgin media came to my property last week and asked to run a cable through my garden to my neighbours. I declined for various reasons but mainly because my cable is hidden and this cable to the neighbour's would have been surface clipped across some of my property which isn't acceptable.

I have since tried to contact Virgin about the next steps. An alternative route is through a shared driveway which I would also need consulting on before digging it up.

After speaking to 3 different people at Virgin media no-one can help me it seems, surely someone can advise?

The neighbour seemingly doesn't know what's going on either.

Regards

Chris

You and/or your neighbour should ask VM why they can't connect them directly from the street. Is it just because going across your property is cheaper?

Likely as the alternative involves digging a trench approximately 25m though a driveway

  • Can one of the team please look at this for me. I want to be consulted before any installation takes place please.

Hey stannersc, thank you for reaching out and for your question.

Just to confirm, did they advise this cable was a temporary or permanent thing?

Normally we would only need to do this to give the customer our services.

Have they been back since at all?
