Broken neighbour's cable in my driveway
Hi Virgin Media,
My neighbour is a Virgin Media customer and I am using City Fibre. I am trying to do a driveway and when the builders dig they found the Virgin media cable which got damaged. The engineer came last week (19-03-2025) and fixed the broken cable so my neighbour can use the internet for now. Since the pipe around the cable is broken, that needs to be fixed. Engineer said other team has to put a new pipe.
Today my neighbour went on phone for several mins and caught hold of the customer care person. They confirmed that the team would come on Friday (28-03-2025) to fix the pipe.
My Worry is already my building work is delayed for a week and it is going to be delayed for another week.
First of all why my neighbour's cable going under my property? And if they fix it now and I had my driveway done and if there is any other issue later on, then they have to dig my driveway?
Then who will fix it after?
Can Virgin fix this sooner please as my driveway work getting delayed?
