Broadband and tv outage from 23rd August in Bristol

We have had intermittent signal in the area for months and I have confirmed this with one or two neighbours.  Since the 25th we have no service.  It has gotten to the point I have signed up for Sky as a backup as I work from home in tech.
we have had a cable repair (next door mower it) and a new hub5 but this latest outage has a ref (FO11965204). The fix date has gotten longer and longer out. It’s now showing as the 3rd of September!

This feels like a larger issue as even the Virgin support line was down when my elderly neighbour had me over to check why the tv was not working (this is her lifeline against loneliness!).

Any help would appreciated.

Ben

  • Hey edax, thank you for reaching out and we are so sorry to hear about your area outage, we understand how frustrating this is for you.

An SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) outage is caused by interference on the network that degrades the broadband signal, making it difficult to diagnose and resolve. The network team will be working on a fix for this.
