You can't use that password

Hi I'm a new customer and I have been trying to create an account with you for well over a week now and everytime I get to the point of choosing a password it just keeps saying that I can't use this password. I have now tried well over 50 passwords and still no joy. Its getting very frustrating now.

  • I’m still no further forward. I was in contact via messages through here and an IT person was going to sort the issue out but now it won’t let me enter a password even though it’s saying now my email is registered and it won’t let me get a password reminder or reset it either. Could someone please message me again regarding this please

  • I am also getting the same problem!!
    tried different password combinations even what were told in this forum but still not able to create password .!
    Please can anyone solve my this problem!!

  • I tried all password combinations like abc111abc, password#, Passowrd# and other which were in parameters given by website and even after going through this forum i tried all combinations given in forum but nothing worked.

    The website says that I can't use this password.  I have now tried well over 50 passwords and still no joy. Its getting very frustrating now.

  • I am having a similar issue, I signed up, it kept rejecting passwords and then it suddenly said a verification email is being sent. I clicked it set up security answers but I don’t know the password it accepted in the first place. It won’t let me reset it online as I get the message “

    You can’t reset your password online right now, as you don’t have additional details set up on your account.”

     

    I tried calling virgin media they said they can’t help reset it. 

    Please can someone DM me so I can resolve this.

    ...and here we are in May 2024 with the same problem. I am also a new customer and have been trying to create an account for two days, with no response from any help chat bot or otherwise either.

    Come on this is the most fundamental part of onboarding a new customer and you can't get that right!

      ..and its even better than that - the account creation to post on *this* forum lets you create a password longer than the sign-in box for *this* forum accepts (20chars)... jeez.
      48 hours in and I'm already thinking of cancelling!

        Welcome to our Community Forums and thanks for your post. It's great to have you on board here.

        I am sorry to hear you are having some issues creating your online account.

        Can you confirm you are meeting the below criteria:

        The password must be-

        •  Be between 8-64 characters.
        •  Must start with a letter.
        •  Contain at least one uppercase and one lowercase letter.

        •  Contain at least one number.

        •  Special characters are allowed but not required (e.g. ! # % & @).
        •  Cannot contain easy to guess words, usernames, or previously used passwords.
