Wrong price on contract
I’m moving property and wanted to take my package with me.
Upon calling and speaking with a member of the team they said that would be fine however they would have to close my account and open a new one for me. Everything would stay the same and they even said I would receive a £10 discount as the place I am moving to I will no longer need a second box.
My previous costs were £60 a month a volt bundle that came out almost 2 years ago (went up to £62.72 due to inflation) for gig WiFi, Netflix, all Sky Packages and TNT sport. When I renewed for a following 18 months due to an error in virgins advertising I have been receiving a discount of £18 applied to my account each month which covers my TNT sport to make sure my payments continued to be £60/£62.72 per month.
I have just received the new contract via email after speaking with the team last night that told me the new price would be £52.72 per month for all the same. However the new contract is saying that the cost will be £412 for my first payment (£196 per month for the service which I will pay an extra month in advance and then a £20 moving fee). This is the reason for the post as I am unsure why it is saying my monthly cost will be £196!
Is it possible that the contract shows how much it would typically cost but not show if credit will be applied to my account each month meaning that what I will pay will be equivalent to £52.72 each month or even the £62.72 each month that I was happy to pay for? And of course the fair moving fee of £20 as well?
