Why are VM so Crap!

So Vm insisted on sending me a new Superhub 5. There was nothing wrong with the one I had.

So I returned the one they sent. Now they are telling me they are going to charge me £65 for not returning the Superhub!

I think they assumed id kept the new router and sent the old one back. But I kept the old one and sent back the new one.  I'm wondering if they are just waiting for the "new serial number" hub to appear in their system.

I'm not sure how many times I need to repeat the same response!

Are they always this crap?

  • Hi richiekuk,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the community.

To confirm, why were you sent the new hub?

They sent it as a resolution to an outage. It wasn't required.

The issue was an outage, not my Hub.

      I already had a Superhub 5.

I only have internet with VM. And I wish I didn't have that

If you are a landline customer and have an old hub you need a new one for migration to VoIP.

      Nope. Broadband only.

They sent the hub as they didn't have a clue what was going on, surprisingly!

I sent it straight back, using their packaging!

And therein lies the problem.  VM "systems" would be expecting the old Hub back and the new one to be used, irrespective of them being the same.  It wouldn't surprise me if your old Hub is deauthorised at some point soon.
