Virgin price rise

Got a letter to say price is rising in april so i rang and was told my bill from £25.50 will go up to £55 so was misinformed firstly as was also told 18 month contract when the price hike happens i wont be affected and was informed whilst in contract so i was lied to from the start logged a complaint and it says about unfortunately in contract but i asked for resolution let me leave without penalty early termination charge as i looked up when price hike happened last year they let people leave but not this year as it strange in complaint said to contact to leave but it not clear if i can leave without early termination charge

    The just announced April price hike is the one they (and others) apply annually. Your rise is way out of that range.  You may have been misinformed on the phone - so log onto your online account and... that should have the most recent accurate amount.

    If yours is more than you expect it suggests that either you are changing your package or your initial sign up discount period is ending and you are reverting to the "standard" contract price.  So when did you first sign up with VM or change your package ?

    At some point it be a £1 per 1Mb speed if I stay on my package for many more years to come....or is the cost for having your own WAN IP

        Hi beth was meant to be sorted but I've seen the bill and the promise of it not going up was a lie as i was told a cedit of roughly £22 would be applied to my account and that stopped me from taking it to the ombudsman or cisas but as I've been lied to luckily I have the call recording over 2 hours spent and emails will be taking it to them as I have final response gave virgin every chance even on here but get reported of sending private message to moderators such as you now virgin can pay charge with the investigation when i log it with cisas

        We don't deal with cancellation over the forum sorry, what type of issues are you facing?

        Do you mean you have tried all the methods? 

        What is happening when you try and put your notice in?

  • Hi just having issues getting me date for renewal or cancellation as it is due rang multiple times get past pillar to post it like they think I'm going to give 30 days notice when I find date out so keep getting messed about spent hours on phone get past to India Philippines no help all I want to do is get my date before my price triple and renegotiate and see what new deals available as I be out of 18 months contract soon  

  • they've put wrong date as leaving date 30.1.25 gave notice early meant to be 26.1.25 i rang before got messed about emailed and log complaints got  message to say 30.1.25 will get disconnected was meant to be 26.1.25 when my 18 months is up unnecessarily added 4 days to get more money from me if not sorted will be taking this too ombudsman  

  • you guys finally made my final date 30.1.25 added four days on but confirmed due to complaint added £20 cr so I was like fine closed complaint now received email about being charged £35 bill about being charged for February month what is going on now I will be taking this to the ombudsman.
