Virgin Media won't cancel my services!

Virgin Media will not cancel my services! I am moving houses and after seeing their ridiculous packages, I decided I want to end my contract. Instead of cancelling my services, they transferred them to my new address! Not only transferred them, but now I am paying even more! I've been on the phone with them for 2 days trying to cancel this contract and they transfer me left to right to then lie to me that the services have been cancelled.

They were not in fact! I keep getting emails saying the engineer will be at the new address to install my router with the new contract attached. When I sign in to my account there is a bill for £192! I cancelled my direct debit which I don't know if it's much of help. 

This is absolutely ridiculous. I recorded all the chat transcripts and phone conversations, but I really don't know what's the next step from here as they just refuse to end my contract.

    Sorry to hear about the issues you're facing trying to get the contract cancelled.

    Due to you trying for 3 days to resolve this, we can step in and take a look for you. We tend to not deal with account cancellations on our community, however as a one off we will get all this sorted out for you.
