Virgin Media O2 Account/Virgin Media Account Linking

Hi,

I've seen many threads raised by other customers with exactly the same issue. I am a new Virgin Media customer, who when signing up was made to create a Virgin Media O2 account. Now I need to access my account settings for billing but I cannot login, as it is requiring me to link to my Virgin Media account.
Until creating one for the purpose of writing this post, I did not have a Virgin Media account - only a Virgin Media O2 Account. When I try to link my Virgin Media account, the message returned is "We've found your Virgin Media account. However, this account is linked to an email address that's different to the one on your Virgin Media O2 ID." It isn't. All email communication I have with Virgin Media is via the same email address - the email address my Virgin Media O2 account is set up under.
When I attempt to use this email address, I receive an error message telling me that it's the wrong address - I've now reached my 3 attempt limit so can no longer try to link accounts for the remainder of the day.
There is no way for me to link my accounts, and there is no way for me to log in to access my Virgin Media account settings without first linking these accounts.
There is clearly a serious systemic issue here, which I need this urgently resolved.
I have tried ringing customer support, but they have told me that they will send a password reset email in 5 days. This is far too long to wait, and I'm not entirely sure it's even the correct solution for this issue.
Please provide assistance with accessing my account.
