Upgrade page not working

When going on to My Virgin Media, the upgrade/change package date link does not work. it shows an error and directs me to the online chat. this has cost me £50 because I don't want to sit on hold for 40 hours on the phone or in a chat. The same thing happened last year and worked miraculously the day after my deal ended and they could charge me £60 for being out of contract.

is there any other way of changing my package other than sitting on the phone for years?

    Thanks for your post. We're sorry to hear you were directed to the online chat to do a package change, the team there can help however. 

    We don't do package changes here on the forums.

    If you call the team, there may be a hold time, however this shouldn't be too long.

    Please call during the day and avoid peak times if possible to avoid a longer hold time.
