upgrade package in my account

We have been with virginmedia for about 3 years now and I have been looking at the Upgrade package Upgrade your package or check out our latest deals for you. link in my account, when I click on the link the package states that my current package is:

Broadband

Broadband Installation
M250 Fibre Broadband
Home Phone
Phone Line Rental
Weekend chatter
 
The selection has already been made with Green ticks in the M250 Fibre Broadband and the Home phone.
This offer on the next page shows the following.  And shows the increase in price.

Current Package

Broadband Installation
M250 Fibre Broadband
Phone Line Rental
Weekend chatter
 
Also when I look at the documents Virgin Media Contract Information Sheet
it states that Provisional installation date: To be confirmed ? Not sure why it is saying this ?
Also this is an 18 month contract which I would say would start for instance 10 November 23 and end 10 May 25.
 
When i have called virginmedia I tell them I wish to renew and keep all the same, the quote they offer is higher that online.
 
I am unsure what to do concerning the part stating provisional installation?
and if I should go forward with the online upgrade / change / slight increase in price to the current contract.

    Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums.

    We're sorry to hear you're having some issue with trying to update your account online. Usually there will be some provisional information before agreeing to the contract. 

    As it's already installed, you wouldn't need a new installation date and the contract would start from the date the changes are made.

      Thank you for replying, Below are screen shots of the contract information sheet and summary sheet.

      Our contract ends in December, however the last bill we had was £12.50 more than usual, I called and asked several times but did not get a straight answer.

      We are considering renewing on the online price which I mentioned is lower than the offer on the phone, which again I was told that the new monthly fee would be higher than the one online?  Surely the call centre has the same upgrade informaton which is shown online?

      One further question am I correct that a new contract for 18 Months, if started on 10 November would run until the middle of 2025?

        If the online offer is the best you've had then it's entirely up to you whether you action this or not, this will put the order in place on the account if this is the offer you would like.
