Unwanted package upgrade

I have received an e-mail from Virgin saying that following my enquiry they are upgrading my package (from 250 mb to 350 mb and phone to Volt).  I never made an enquiry and am happy with my current package.  The new package will increase the in cost from the next payment period and I do not want it and never entered a new contract.

Then you must reply and cancel the new contract with 14 days.

The big question is why did the OP get this "upgrade" if it was not asked for?

    Hi DavidM9

There isn't a volt phone.   There is however a volt (O2) sim, and taking out an O2 sim would automatically increase the broadband speed to the next level ie from 250 to 350.

Have you or anybody else at your address recently taken out an O2 sim?

The broadband speed upgrade would be a free upgrade and take place if anybody at your address had an O2 sim.

Has this tied you to a new 24month contract?
