Unable to register for a My Virgin Media Account

I have just got Virgin Media installed in my new flat. But when I goto register an account. I use my surname, my account number and area, yet it shows my email address that is registered to my parents account because it is my email address they used over 10 years ago when we first got it installed. But the email I want to use to register is a completely different email.

    Thanks for posting and welcome to both the community and Virgin Media.

    If your Parents still have an active account with that email on it, then you'd need to use a different email I'm afraid.
