Unable to get a better deal. any ideas?

My contract ends at the end of the month, and I’m currently paying just over £47 for 1Gbps internet. I tried negotiating a better deal via web chat, but they only offered to keep my current rate. I’m considering switching to 4th Utility since they offer 1Gbps for £27 per month. However, I’d prefer to stay with Virgin if they can offer a better deal, as it would save me the hassle of getting 4th Utility installed. Unfortunately, I’ve tried calling Virgin, but their number doesn’t seem to work for me.

    Sorry to hear of the package cost increase and renewal price following the end of your current deal. We appreciate you taking the time to raise this via the forums.

     

    We can see you have called and spoken to the team in regards to this since posting, we hope they were able to offer you a suitable deal. Waiting and signing back up after cancelling would only be an option if the account was signed up for in a new name, otherwise we require 90 days for the account to be closed before you would be eligible for a new customer deal using this method.

      Nope I'm leaving. 

      Was able to call and the " deal" was more than what I'm paying now.

      So going to 4th utility

        Sorry to hear that edward24, did you give your 30 days notice during the call?

  • TBH, staying at the current rate would be considered a very good deal by me. Mine has increased a few pounds each renewal.

    Problem sorter

    Call retentions.  1144 on options.  Web chat is absolutely useless.
