I went to cancel for losing Eurosport, the only reason i have the package to watch motorsports, especially motorbikes! The main reason I did not cancel is i would get an email for TNT update at no extra cost. What is going on?
I also now see its was advertised by Virgin in the Mirror, which also would be false advertising to its customers, and I'm a sure ombudsman would be interested. I don't mind paying for Richard Island long as i can watch some racing! What's going on?
Any discounting you (if you do) get is likely to be short lived. While the UK & Ireland everything is merging with TNT, in the rest of Europe the opposite is happening, with Eurosport carrying the additional Warner rights content, no doubt at increased cost to customers over there.
And apart from the brand lease, Mr Brandson gets nothing from Virgin Media, which is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the Liberty Global cable empire.
