Suddenly can't access "My Account" page
I suddenly can't access "My Account" via your website ?
It was simple I just used to click on "My Account" on your website, enter my email address and password and then I could check the details of my account (next bill, upgrades, emails etc). Now, when I follow the same procedure, it takes me to your Virgin Media O2 login page and asks for my email address and password that I use to access “My Account”. I do that and it then wants me to add a second email address as a backup for two factor authentication.
I’ve rung Virgin for help but unless I have a backup email address they can’t help me. I don’t have a second email address (and don’t particularly want a second one anyway) and the last time I did try to set up a Gmail account for something else I got in a muddle and then couldn’t access it I Luckily my emails are still coming through to Outlook on my PC and I it seems that I can still send emails using Outlook but I still need to be able to access “My Account” on your website.
I'm not very technically minded so am calling on the chap I use for PC problems to come and help me set up another email account for which, of course, there is going to be a cost !
But what really annoys me is that even after being a Virgin customer for over 20 years I have had no advance notification from Virgin of this change and, and even after my IT chap has set up a second email account for me with Hotmail of Gmail or some other email provider I will still have to sort out how to access the "My Account" via the website.
