Hey all,
A month ago we had a problem with our internet and so on the Service Status page I put my number in to receive updates to when the service is back online.
It worked and let me know by text when it was back online - only thing is, I’ve been recieving texts since then on an almost daily basis updating me on other random service issues (some of which I am sure aren’t effecting our postcode).
How do I stop these service status texts?

This is happening to me, I am receiving constant text messages PLEASE CAN THIS BE STOPPED ASAP. It is so annoying!

Virgin Media Outage Update - Description: Service update. Broadband, Voice and TV fault F011804397. The latest update we have is: We have identified the problem and an engineer is on their way. The estimated repair time is now: 13/05/2025 13:15:00. The Virgin Media Team.- ID: F011804397. Best wishes, the Virgin Media Team.

Are you currently experiencing a service outage, and/or signed up for updates regarding this?
There is no way for us to turn off these notifications on our side. The communications will stop once the outage is closed and resolved.
Why can't you turn the messages off? I put my number in to receive updates when my Internet was down, which is constant! I get multiple messages daily, there must be something you can do!? It's awful that you can't help me. Other people on here who have had the same issue have received private messages helping them.... I really need them to stop as there is no way of blocking the messages and I can't change my phone number. Can you find out how I can opt out asap please!

However once you sign do sign up these texts will happen until the outage has finished sorry.
If you go on the text click the settings or I button it will let you block or mute the text.
Can someone please help me stop the Outage Update, I get a txt message everyday now and it's just spamming my mobile now. How do I stop this?
