Returning Kit - no Yodel for 210 miles
Hi. I've recently moved to Shetland and need to return my kit from when I lived back in England. We don't have Yodel here on the islands, and my nearest drop-off point is Aberdeen. This is 230 miles away, as well as about 150 quid and 28 hours in ferry fares and journey time.
I spoke to three departments earlier this week, eventually getting through to someone who understood the problem. They told me I should get a call or an email about the issue, but they were confident it could be solved. I have also offered to post (at my expense) the box of kit to my nearest O2 store (also in Aberdeen).
Since then, all I've had is menacing follow-up emails telling me that I'm going to be billed for the kit.
Short of another 45 minutes jumping between departments on the phone, I'm open to suggestions as to how solve this problem.
Thanks,
Andy
edit: we do have a local courier service that handles stuff on Shetland and Orkney (Streamline). I wonder if someone from VM could chime in and let me know whether these folks will collect the package? They have certainly dropped OFF Yodel packages since we moved here.
