Refund cheque not received

After disconnecting my services I was meant to be refunded for an extra month I had been charged for. 

I spoke with Virgin Media and they said they sent a cheque to my address, I never received this cheque. They then said they couldn’t do anything because their system says the cheque has been cashed. I’m not sure how this could be possible as the cheque never reached me - they said I should check with my local post office if they know who received it as they don’t have this information, but neither does my local post office.

Is there anything I can do to get my refund?

    Sorry to hear with your cheque for the refund and the problems around it being cashed, we appreciate you raising this via the forums.

     

    As you have already been advised, if a cheque is sent and shows as being confirmed as cashed, we are unable to request this be sent again. Were the team able to give any more information on when or where this was cashed?

      Hi Robert,

      Thanks for getting back to me. I’ve reviewed my accounts and realised that I think your colleague was referring to a cheque that was sent LAST year (I was being charged double for an O2 sim that was meant to be included in my plan and received a cheque refund for it).

      In my conversation the agent referred to a cheque sent on 17th January but that’s when it was sent LAST year so I think he might have not checked the year… this would mean no refund has actually been triggered in relation to disconnecting my services. 

      Is this something that could be looked into?
