Overdue payment

I was living on a one-month contract for six months. As I remember, we had to move out, so I asked for assistance to cancel my contract because I really couldn't understand how to do it. She said I would have to pay one month over. I thought okay, no problem; that was written in the contract. After the "last bill," I was issued a new bill that wasn't marked as last. I called to see what was going on. I said where I am living now and that I would not pay for that bill because I basically cannot (financially). I can't really remember what they said to me because it was about two years ago, and they gave me two more months' payment after assistance "canceled" my contract. I still have Virgin Media boxes and a router just lying in a box. I would not write this because I thought they had fixed it, and one time they tried to contact me to take the VM equipment but didn't show up, but I started getting notifications to pay these bills. I really need your help to resolve this. If not for this situation, I could have stayed with VM, but after I moved, I had to use another, more stable provider.
