Out of Contract

I only receive broadband from Virginmedia and have been out of contract for a while now so thought 'might as well update my contract'. Had a look at my options and to my horror found that I would have to pay nearly £90 a month to get 1G fibre yet it is only £31 on the website.

Now I know these prices are to lure new customers in but to charge someone who has been here for a good while almost triple the price? Quite frankly I'm disgusted.

Unfortunately your post is nothing new.  You will need to phone retentions.

By what means did you 'look at my options'?

If you looked at ready-made 'offers' from VM, there should not be too much surprise in whose favour those are weighted.

If you want to renew with VM, you need to do your research and look at what else is available in your area. Go into any negotiations with VM armed with that info. You will then know whether any negotiated deal offered by VM is any good or not.

I am doing this currently and so far have found it for less than half that price ;)
