Online account register

Hello. I'm an O2 customer. My wife and I have Virgin broadband/TV, etc. It's registered under her name. I am unable to register for O2/Virgin Media a I the system tells me I haven't an account to link to my O2. How do I get an account!???

  • Hi RobGreenLibr

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. As you're not the account holder for the Virgin Media account, we can advise you generally how to do this, however for any account specifics, your Wife will need to contact us.

Please go to our website - virg.in/myVM

Then you click 'my account' and sign up.

Enter the account number, site ID and surname of the account holder

Then follow the prompts to register and you'll then get the prompts to set up the VM O2 ID.

  • Sorry - it doesn't look like this is going to work. See the text copied below below when I try to follow your instructions: it indicates it's going to 'transfer' the account to my VM O2 ID.

I don't want to transfer my wife's account to me. My phone contract is with O2 and I just want to link to her VM account so I can log in to O2 to access my account, as I could do before VM and O2 merged, and use O2 Priority.

My wife needs to retain the account as a utility account for formal documentation to prove she lives here (I am account holder for the council tax, etc..) and, of course, to be able to access her O2 phone contract.

Can you please advise.....   thanks.  Rob

We’ve found your Virgin Media account

However, this account is linked to an email address that’s different to the one on your Virgin Media O2 ID.

    l****n@googlemail.com

If you’d like to continue and link your Virgin Media account to your Virgin Media O2 ID, please confirm the full email address your Virgin Media account is currently registered to.

We’ll then send an email to that email address to approve the transfer.

Thanks for the update on this, as the accounts are in separate names you will not be able to unify them under one singular Single Sign On account. They would need to be registered in the same name in order to do that, we do apologise.
