nightmare getting retention
I am a long serving customer of Redifusion/NTL/Virginmedia since its creation, My end of contract has just come up for renewal, so I rang customer service and spoke to a Indian person who after 20 min of trying to get him to put me through to Retention I ended up speaking to another Indian who's English was just as poor, finally I got him to understand That I wish to renew my contract and was told that I can't, and that I have to pay the new price of £66, before I was eligible to negotiate a new contract, and was told to phone back next month, and to speak to whoever I can. There was a time when Virgin Media could not discriminate between a new & old customer, but that been removed from their commitment.
As much as I love VM i will not pay their extortion prices, I was paying £34 pm and now they want £66 for 500mb & Phone, at least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask.
