New subscriber cannot complete SSO reg and link

I have the exact same issue. I am a new subscriber and I was trying to create an account for My Virgin Media App. Made the VMO2 ID but had to link them. That's when I found out. 

 

Can someone get back to me?

    We are working externally and within the Community to find troubleshooting steps which help customers through this process.

    Are you able to try the steps here, where we've seen customers using this workaround have been able to link their Virgin Media O2 ID?
