New customer unable to link virgin media account to VMO2 ID

Similar to others, since starting my service on 16/7/25 I have been able to create my VMO2 ID, but remain unable to link this to my Virgin Media account, getting the error message that the email addresses do not match.

Multiple calls to the helpline have been frustrating and unhelpful. Has anyone yet had this problem solved by tech support? Can the forum support please advise?

  • Hi 123rickstar thanks for posting although we're sorry to hear of the concerns you've raised here.

    Can you please confirm if your email address with us and O2 are the same, or do you in fact have different email addresses registered?

      Yes, the email address I used to register my VMO2 ID and my virgin media account are both the same, but the system doesn't seem to recognise this. 

      When I try to look up my Virgin Media account registered email address I get the following message: "The email address on your Virgin Media O2 online account is: [object Object]" 

      This suggests to me something is not being pulled through on your systems?
