MyVirginMedia say my contract is ending, but my contract says otherwise.

I've been receiving emails recently from Virgin Media stating 'Your Virgin Media contract is ending' and including links to 'Renew now'. I'm confident that these emails aren't spam, but it has raised a wider issue regarding my contract and the actual renewal date.

In December 2024, I upgraded my broadband to renewed my Volt Gig1 and renewed my contract for 18 months at the same time. According to the downloadable contract, my new contract started on 16/12/2024 and will end on 16/06/2026, with a promotional discount that will run until 16/03/2025. The Broadband, TV & Phone options on the downloadable contract document are all correct.

However, when I cross reference my packages & contract end date on the MyVirginMedia account page, it says that I only have M350 Volt broadband and my contract will end on 15th June 2025!

  1. Why is MyVirginMedia (and the associated emails) showing that my contract is ending, when I know that it isn't?
  2. Why is MyVirginMedia showing my Broadband package as inferior to the package I should actually be receiving according to my actual contract?
  3. How can I check that the contract & services I'm receiving are correct and I'm not either;
    1. Paying for a service at a level that I'm not receiving (i.e. paying for Gig1, but only receiving M350), or
    2. About to lose access to all my services because the Virgin Media system thinks that I'm still on an old contract

As always, your prompt attention and help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Paul.

  • Hi there Halforc80 👋 Welcome to our forum and thanks for your post 😊

    Apologies for any confusion caused by this. It sounds like it would be beneficial to take a look at your account to clarify the contract. I'll pop you a PM to confirm your details so this can be done.

    Regards
