I've enquired about cancelling my Virgin subscription over this No point in watching a TV without music on it

Hey, this is what I thought as well. This looks like a change they should have mentioned. Do you have any update? I am planning to cancel them on the same grounds since I installed Virgin TV mostly cause of MTV music. Also, the kids package is really bad, they keep streaming the same cartoons, poor quality, and even Cartoon Network is terrible and not the one I was used to. I feel to keep only my tv licence which is pretty much all that's needed at this point. So please let us know how did it go :)

I did ask virgin media about this via messenger and they told me its finishing so it's not made up like I expected so I've checked and they all ceased broadcasting from 600 today mtv 90s and 80s music channels

It has been known for months that MTV was pulling out of the broadcast TV market. Services will be pulled from the UK and Ireland first, with France, Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Brazil & Australia losing their services later in 2026 as contracts expire.
