Moved house out of fixed-term contract, account now shows "in contract until September 2026"
Hi all,
I recently moved house and had my Virgin Media service moved along. My original 18-month fixed-term contract period ended on the 6th of March 2025, and when I effected the move by phone I was reassured twice upon request that this would not affect my contract (and I have of course not signed a new fixed-term contract).
When I check the Virgin Media site now after having moved (having received a new account number as is customary), it shows that I am "in contract" until September 2026. Is this something that will fix itself when the first bill at the new address is issued or do I need to take action to get this corrected?

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome back, it has been a while, hope you have kept well, sorry to see your contract has been re-started when you moved address, as long as nothing changed this should have just been a rolling contract at the un-discounted price until you re-negotiated, this is something I can help with, I have sent you an invite into a private chat, please look out for a white envelope to accept.
