Left VM, got my final bill... then got a new £182/month contract?

Hoping someone can help me understand what's happened with my account, as it seems to have gone completely haywire.
I started the process of leaving VM on Saturday. The switch to my new provider on Monday went smoothly, and my VM services disconnected as expected. Yesterday, I even received my final bill showing I was in credit by £31, so I thought everything was sorted.
However, at 1:35 this morning, I was shocked to receive an email with details of a brand new Virgin Media contract I never asked for. It quotes a new monthly cost of £182.90, with a first bill of over £242.
I have obviously not signed up for a new service – I have just left. It looks like a major system glitch has occurred during the cancellation process.
Could the support team please look into this for me? I need this phantom contract cancelled immediately and confirmation that my account is, in fact, closed.
