Late Payment affecting credit rating

I cancelled my service on 6th May and received a bill on the 22nd May  This was amount wasn't taken on the 10th June as I expected and then I received another bill, again showing as final with that total carried forward and a credit for services not used. This second bill was not taken from direct debit on 21st June which was showing as payment date. I rang and spoke to an advisor this morning who has told me that payment has been taken for the last bill on 5th July , however, this is still not showing on my bank account as being taken or pending. I tried to explain I was ringing as I was very annoyed that this had affected my credit rating and she told me to ring Experian to get them to remove this entry, as it was probably just a glitch on their system. I explained Experian will not do anything to change this on my say so and I need Virgin Media to confirm this with them. I am not even sure which bill has triggered this late payment as it most probably was the fist one they produced on the 22nd May. So any help or advice would be appreciated.
