How to Downgrade

I want to downgrade to Broadband and Phoneline only  (TV Package no longer required). It appears this is only available to new customers only.  Unable to talk to Virgin Media.  Any ideas?

I do not have a contract.  I was with TeleWest when Virgin Media took it over.

VM don't really do downgrades as such.  Any change of your current contract will start a new 24 month one, and most likely at a higher cost.  VM are a "bundle" ISP, so the more you have, the less you pay.  So, it may be more beneficial to wait until your existing contract is due for renewal and then talk to Retentions about changes.  If you have any other choice of ISP's in your area, don't hesitate to leave, the only thing stopping most people is their ISP email.  This can be a bit of a pain to migrate to another non ISP mail provider, but it's not a show stopper.

If you are wanting to remove (cancel) the TV package then you should do as Adduxi  suggested  and contact Retentions (Thinking of leaving) by dialing 150 from your VM landline and selecting options 1,1, 4 and 4.

You can also try the following cancellation page if you'd rather take that route.

    https://www.virginmedia.com/help/leaving

Click on the Message us icon on the right hand side of the page.   This will open a pop up window, so ensure you have pop ups enabled in your browser.

(The chat/messenger options won't work if the office is closed, so best to try during normal office hours)
