How can I speak to a person at Virgin Media

I've just found that there's a defaulted payment to Virgin Media for £12 from 2020 on my credit history which is affecting my credit score.

I paid my bills by direct debit and had come to the end of my contract before I changed my Internet supplier. I've had no correspondence in the 5 years since leaving Virgin and I wasn't given the opportunity to settle or dispute the balance before it was declared as a default.

I'd like to make an official complaint but as I don't have an active account I can't use the Web form. I can't speak to anyone on the phone as I can't get through the automated service without an account number. How can I speak to an actual person and resolve this? I'm so frustrated by this inadequate system.

This is a Community forum and as such it will take a couple of days for a VM Mod to respond.  If you need is urgent, you need to ring CS unfortunately.

  • I've tried calling customer services but I don't have an active account number so I can't get through the automated service. I've tried a chat bot. I've tried to pay the bill but I can't log in as my account no longer exists. What else can I do? My only hope is that the mods here will get in touch and help me to settle this
