Historical default payment

Hi all

Please can someone help me with this

My virgin media contract finished last year and I decided to move onto a new supplier due to cost.

Final bills were paid, I didn't receive the package to return the hub and I soon forgot about it.

Fast forward 3 months, my credit score dropped by 300 points!!!! Because I have a default payment with virgin media.

I first tried to login to my account with Virgin media and discovered that they delete them. I have tried phoning and speaking to someone and they got confused. I spoke to someone on the online chat and the same thing happened.

I did manage to pay £64 on the virgin media website by putting my postcode and last name but that was over 1 month ago and my credit score is constantly dropping because it's still showing a default.

Who do I talk to about this to resolve this issue?

Many thanks for any help you can give me

  • Hi Danielle6,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐

We're sorry to hear a default has been registered on your credit file. When registered, we would not be able to remove the default as this needs to be a true record however if payment has been made, the default will update to show it's satisfied.

We can take a look at the account to ensure the payment has been allocated to the correct account for you but in order to do that I'll need to confirm some information with you to pass security.

I have sent you a direct message to allow us to do this with you in a private space. Just click on the little ✉ at the top right-hand side of the page to access your inbox. :)

    Thanks,
