Failing to link virgin media account as a new customer

Hi I've just signed up with virgin media broadband and I've tried to login to my virgin media however I keep getting this error whenever I try

 

“We’ve found your Virgin Media account

However, this account is linked to an email address that’s different to the one on your Virgin Media O2 ID.

If you’d like to continue and link your Virgin Media account to your Virgin Media O2 ID, please confirm the full email address your Virgin Media account is currently registered to.

We’ll then send an email to that email address to approve the transfer.”

      There is nothing on that page to help me with that issue. When I click on the relevant field I think will help it just sends me back to link my account. 

      I'm seeing a lot of people on the community page posting about the exact same issue im having over the past days
