Email password

I can no longer access my virginmedia emails via email client on I phone. I don’t have manage email app password once I have clicked manage my products. I use a different email for my virginmedia id and when I login in to my virgin media there is no  reference or link to my virgin media email account. I have spent hours trying to sort this with no luck. It doesn’t look as if my virginmedia email address is linked to my virgin media account

Any help appreciated

  • I can “Select Manage your products” but don’t have option “Select Manage email app password”

    Also I can’t link by virgin email address/account to the the alternative email address/ I use for my Virgin media o2 id

    any help appreciated

      Brookroad1​  If you are not seeing the password option then that suggests the VMO2 ID you are signed into is not the correct one for the email account concerned.

      Go back to the sign in page and sign in with the actual virgin email address rather than an alternative address.  This should then let you into the correct VMO2ID account.

        Tried that but can’t sign in with the actual virgin email address as it says they don’t have additional details to set up account with virginmedia email

    Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. Sorry for any email issues. With third party email clients, the process is this;

     

    Sign into the My Virgin media account for the email concerned with your VMO2ID

    Select Account Settings

    Select Identity & Security Settings

    Select Manage your products

    Select Manage email app password

    Click on the blue button 'Get New Password'

    Make a note of the generated password. This is what you use in the mail apps along with the Virgin Media email address as the username.

  • I already tried that - when I click on manage your products I am not presented with the option “manage email app password” so the above doesn’t work

      I have the same issue I think.   I had additional ntlworld.com email addresses and it is not possible to create email app passwords for them because the Manage email app password option is not presented anywhere.   The ntlworld.com addresses are shown as 'not valid' when trying to log in.  Only the main account email address shows up under ID settings.  Seems like the accounts have been deactivated or deleted?

      @ John_GS did you get anywhere with this?
