Early Disconnection Fee Served section 21
I was served a section 21 no-fault eviction, forced to leave the property on the 13th of January. I currently have no where to stay in the near and long term future
The agent informed me that I would have to pay a large charge as I am still in contract. I explained my situation and stressed that this is not a choice—I am being evicted and have nowhere to live. Despite this, I felt completely dismissed, as the agent showed no understanding or compassion for my circumstances. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was repeatedly told there were none available until i advocated for myself insisting i speak with one. I made it clear that I do not accept these charges and that I want my concerns escalated, as this is an exceptional situation and should not be treated as routine. Seems very unfair that I have been charged a £400+ early disconnection fee despite fact not my fault.
Not to mention over the period of 2 and 1/2 hours I was repeatedly bounced around from department to department with no care.
Any help would be great.
