Disney Plus Addon not requested

I recently helped my mother in law renewing her account with Virginmedia online and she has just called me to say that a Disney+ bolt on has also been added. We never added or agreed to it as I went through the contract as we chose the package.

Can someone from Virginmedia help me with this as she’s worried and stressed out about how we will remove it and is assuming it can’t be removed for 18 month. It’s so unfair how things like this are added to peoples accounts who don’t request them.

    Welcome back to the Community and thanks for taking the time to post. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that your mother in law is having with her account. Has Disney + been added to her Virgin Media or O2 account?

      Thanks for replying Steven.
      its her Virginmedia one. She has called this morning and been told it can’t be removed until the contract has actually started which seems a little bizarre to me. Because once that new contract starts I assume it’ll have triggered for the first payment.

        Thanks for coming back to us mhduke640. That would be the case that we wouldn't be able to remove it till the contracts starts but we can after and will refund any payments made. I'd be happy to take a further look into this for you but first I would need to confirm a few details via private message, please look out for my message and we can get started.
