Compensation

Hi my fibre went off yesterday at 1pm. The engineer has just been and advised that contractors have broken the fibre to my house in the street (I told the contractors that they had knocked my bb off but they just told me to F off )

Virgin have requested a new fibre be "blown" to the house , but this could be 48 hrs ..

I will have been with out a service  ( both tv and bb) for over 2 days.

Will I be compensated?

Thanks

The standard compensation starts after the first two days without service

If a damaged microfibre duct in the ground needs to first be exposed and repaired a couple of days would be amazing but very optimistic.

  • I hope not . It was hard enough last night for my youngest son with special needs having no internet/ Tv

      Hello Mattwilliams

      Thanks for your post.

I'm sorry to hear about the damage caused to your connection.

With instances like this, we do act quickly as it would need us to attend to replace the cabling and any ducting before the contractors can complete the work they intended to do.

Regarding compensation, we do have a policy here https://virg.in/autocomp

You should also be able to see any appointments through your online account here virg.in/myVM
