Changing my phone number

Hi

Quite simply, I want to change my mobile phone number, I have searched endlessly online on how to do this but to no avail, could someone support me on this?

I am nearing the end of my contract too, do I have to give notice by telephone? The renewal options I have been given are double in price those of competitors, so I wish to give notice, is there a way to chat online with someone about this?

Thanks

Changing mobile numbers is a lot simpler than landlines. You can just literally buy a new SIM card & package from any provider you want & put it in your existing phone or another one. You are not obliged to transfer your existing number to it. If you are changing providers, you need is an STAC code from your existing provider to terminate your old number.

When your existing contact ends you go onto a rolling monthly contract. These usually have a 30 day notice period.

  • Sorry for the confusion, I meant I have changed my mobile number some time ago and wish to inform Virgin media. I thought this would be essential, especially for nearing my end of contract. Of course, I am willing to consider any retention deals they may offer me!

      Hi Thomascat13,

Welcome to the Community Forums, thank you for your first.

Just to confirm, you're just looking to update your contact number on your account with us? I'll be more than happy to help with this, although I'm afraid that we don't assist with package changes or renewals from here.

I've popped you over a private message so I can take your details 😊
