Changing contracts

Hi, trying to use the messaging service and phone wete not very helpful as I either couldn't get through or didn't get a straight answer.

If I sign up to the cheapest Internet package on an 18 month contract, would I be charged extra to upgrade (if I want faster speeds) it prior to the 18 months going by?

Thanks.

Usually, when you change your package, it actually starts another new 18 month contract.  Or at least that's my understanding of package changes.

Yes that's the way it works. You'll always get the best deal at the start, as a new customer.

  • Hi shamuric,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the community.

If you were to upgrade your contract mid contract term there would be no additional cost for that unless you were dropping a service from your package. For example if you were on 125MB and had Weekend chatter and then upgrade to 250MB and dropped weekend chatter, then we would charge for the dropped service. But if you just upgraded the broadband speed and keep the services then there would be no cost.
