Can't log in to my account

Funny things are going on here-: The last few days I'm unable and still am to log into my VM account BUT I can still send E-mail's  using Firefox with the same E-mail addx, here's where the 'funnies' come in - don't ask I dunno...! I was unable to log in here yesterday, same to day with no joy I struggled and struggled I tried as a last resort  BINGO, I logged in and here I am!

Still can't get into my VM account, needless to say I can't read or send E-mails there, I just ried whilst writing this!

I've put a letter in to Head Office via recorded delivery, seriously VM needs to get their act together, phoning or E-mailing for help is one ALMIGHTY JOKE isn't it?  AND VM wants us to refer a friend!!!! If I get no response I'm off to SKY and VM can shout and scream about their contract.

The service is completely dire - non exsistent infact, so what is just going on here? It is for sure a VM doing, there is far too many ding-dongs about this kind of activity recently.

  • Me too, I don't use VM emails, I Use Thunderbird no problems here  BUT like a few I can't access my VM account. I keep getting asked for a secondary email account

    I'm seriously thinking of switching to Sky. Getting hold of someone to talk to is like getting blood out of rocking horse manure!

  • I still can't log in to VM on my PC or my mobile but I can access my emails on my ipad luckily but that might change.  Is it too much to ask VM to give an update. This is affecting lots of people and not just a few accounts.

      Are you also getting any error messages or it just working randomly for you? 

  • Sorry for late reply, again I wasn't able to log in AGAIN to THIS forum! 

    All I got was 'Refresh the page', I can not log in to my VM account sometimes I get nothing or  it's asking me for an alternative Email address.

    THIS will NOT do, I am not having an alternative Email from another company to access MY  VM account - out of the question. There was non of these problems with Blueyonder! Is there a reason for this?

    I have written to VM HQ using registered mail. I have made enquiries with Sky for my phone and broadband, as can be noted I have had MORE than enough with VM antics. It is no wonder why people are leaving and leaving in droves.... soon count me as one of them.

    I am also considering of cancelling my paying by direct debit. When will be the next time I am able to log in don't ask, don't appologise it isn't YOUR fault.

      FYI, Just happened again, I was unable to log in and I tried and tried again. I got 'Refresh the page and try again' I get the same result on another computer. 

      I can do anything but get to this comunity site, My Virgin is a big  no no.

        Thanks for coming back to us pentode. Are you able to expand on the issues that you're experiencing. 

        Are you getting any error messages, when trying to access your account, have you been able to successfully link your Virgin Media account to your Virgin Media O2 ID?

      At the 50 millionth attempt I manage to log in, I just noted something I've never noticed before.... still that had never given me problems before all this started this week.

    AS said before I get  'Refresh the page message and try again'  after log in attempt.

    What I notice  just now was my User name, I sign in with a capital P..... lo and behold after all this time I never noticed - LOOK at my user name as on this forum it shows a lower case p in my user name - could this cause a conflict??

    Now for the other problem with signing in to my account, sometimes it just sits there and stirs at me, sometimes it ask's for an alternative E-mail address.

    Is this a permanent fixture and why is this, IS VM doing away with E-mails?? I am certainly not happy about this and planning on leaving, also planning to stop paying by direct debit. This is a NO NO for me.  As far as I am concerned VM is the provider and it is their Email that should suffice. I won't be getting an alternative Email account to learn about their bills!

    I will say this, since VM got hold of Blueyonder the service has gone down hill,  being a Sky subscriber I am considering joining them..... AND it's a darn sight cheaper too, being in contract WILL NOT fear me one bit.

     

     

     

  • Just what is going on here?

    What did happen I clicked 'Keep me logged in, yes I switched off somewhile later I re-booted, I got logged in automaticallly without doing a thing - as expected 'so that worked'. Tried a while later - 'Please refresh the page error'. I tried many times clearing cache, pressing F5, I tried re-booting Windows NO JOY.

    The only problem here is with Virgin Media - I have no other issues. Is THERE ANYBODY HERE TO HELP?  Just HOW can I recommend such a company to anyone?

  • I can't log into my VM account, nor the Community forum but only once in a while, here I get 'Refresh the page and try again when I can't - see post there!

    With VM account sometimes I log in the page sits there and stirs at me, sometimes I get asked for an alternative Email address.... THIS is a big NO, NO -  I refuse POINT BLANK!

     I want to know why this is AND don't mention security.

    So, it looks as though we have a company that sells broad band and asking folks to sign on on someone elses account?  IS VM doing away with Emails.... or trying?

    To hell with VM and their contract they have broke it many times, I am seriously going to stop paying by direct debit with a view to closing my account and going over to Sky.

    Then VM ask me to recommend a firend - Like hell I would, they have to be kidding here! Just what IS the reason for all this is there anyone their CAPEABLE of explaining and to tell us if this will be temporary or pemanent?

    I don't expect a much  response here, I will put recorded mail to Virgin HQ  when I do decide!

      Sorry to hear of the access issues experienced with your online account and the forums, we can see you have already raised this in a different thread we have replied to, we ask to not raise the same issues across multiple threads as this can cause issues and delays to getting a response and support. We will arrange for this thread to be closed, please feel free to reply in the other thread which will remain open.

  • I appologise for that, just that my frustrations is getting the better of me. I am now leaning to the side of cancelling my account - obviously the service is very lacking AND time wasting.

    It looks to me this problem is going to continue for ever and a day I CAN NOT see any rterasons be givin for this problem  that is a KNOWN issue.

    I will reapeat AGAIN, I could not log on again yesterday, I havbe tried on TWO machines and get the same result.

     

    Also NO answer was given to'my' previous question which seems to have been avoided is this something VM  doesn't want us to know?

    Why is it we are being asked for a non Virgin Email address when we want to view our accounts? IS VM not breaking THEIR contract here?

    When will it be the next time I will be able to log in  'HERE' God know's - I don't!

  • Can we get any help at all here or not?

    Been trying on and off here all day and just this minute managed to log on!

      We can understand your frustration, and we want to do our best to help from here. To best explain this, for security reasons, we are asking our customers to change their VM usernames to a non-Virgin Media one, as seen here. This change should get you access to your account when processed. Please let us know how this goes.

  • Not happy..... you are asking me to use a NON Virgin Email address.....  You are about to lose ANOTHER customer...!

    I bet this doesn't lower the bill!
