Can't link my email account with another email app

I have been using 'Edison Mail' app for some time now. I have just upgraded to a new laptop and now Virgin are blocking me when I try to link it ? I entered my password and also my secondary password but it still blocks me saying "contact your provider" Can anyone help ?
