Can't cancel contract
I have been a customer with virgin media for over 15 years, I have been diagnosed with terminally cancer, in December I was called by someone at virgin, I was told my contract would end on the 12 December, he was trying to get me to increase my package and pay £117 a month, a big increase from the £65 I was paying. I explained I couldn't afford my current package and instructed him to cancel my account, he told me the call was being recorded so ended the conversation with my account being closed. I received a return box for the equipment which I used to post back the items, I received confirmation that they had received the items. Yet they have increased the monthly costs and still charging me monthly service charges. I don't have the money to keep paying for a service I don't have, I have contacted them several times, yet they won't close the account, I don't know how much time I have left, and I can do without the stress this is giving me, and being so ill, money is tight. Does anyone else have any suggestions to close my account as I have tried phoning, and chat bot which I have screen shots for proof that I'm told the service is discontinued, yet I still get bills which are mounting up
