Cannot link virgin 02 account to virgin media account

I signed up for Virgin Media a few days ago for Broadband - No issues with selecting install dates and package. 

However, I am trying to login into the Virgin Media Site to confirm account details are correct, and I am receiving the same error message as many others on this forum.  

After entering my Account Number, Area Ref and Surname, it asks to link to my O2 Media Account, when I try this it states that the email address on both accounts don't match. 

I only use 1 personal email account, and I received all emails about registering to that email address.  

Many forum responses seem to help with direct messaging, can someone please reach out?
