Cancellation timeline

Hi, after 24 years of being a VM customer I have finally cancelled and am leaving. I've been given a cancellation date of 18 July, it was quite a stressful experience ringing although it did not take long. I have just realised the 18th of  July is 37 days from today, I thought the notice period was 30 days not 37, can someone please advise , thanks

  • To anyone else reading this,I have just been informed by the forum team via private chat that there is no knowledge of any cancellation on my account.Yesterday on the phone I said repeatedly I was not interested in any deals and only wanted to cancel ,  this went on for some time, eventually the message got through I was transferred to someone else who then tried to persuade me to accept new deals, I was put on hold several  times before the process started again . Eventually I was given a cancellation date 37 days after phoning. It is only through questioning why it was 37 days instead of 30 that the revelation there has been no cancellation has come to light. This is deliberate ,and criminal and extremely distressing
