Cancellation Fee

Hello - I'm currently experiencing the same issue... I changed my terms with Virgin Media last October, and even went as far as to check I'd be able to cancel without being charged in this circumstance, as I was worried about no fault evictions becoming more prevalent.  Sadly my landlord served us with a section 21 this January, and now Virgin media are insisting I move my account to a friends house or pay early cancellation fees on an 18month contract! I've been a virgin media customer for over a decade, but I wont be for much longer if they're going to treat their customers like this.  Im appalled by the lack of empathy and poor customer service I've been shown. I'm really disappointed. Can someone please get in contact asap to get this sorted.

VM won't let you go if they can help it. Your decade counts for nothing.

The only way out is if you move to an address that is not served by VM.  If you can show evidence of living at such an address they will let you go without a penalty.

  • Hello louisbrown_tv,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your living arrangements at the moment. We maybe able to help further with this from here as you've been evicted with a section 21 notice. We would need to take some details via private message, would you be okay for us to do that?

    Kind Regards,
