I'm a relative new customer. got BB connected in January. generally, the connection has been ok but i pay for 1gb and I don't get that, I probably get max 750. so, I was wondering if it's possible to downgrade the package to 500mb to save a bit of money each month,

Are you getting 750 Mbps on a hard-wired device?
Or is the 750 Mbps a WiFi speed test result?
The expected speed range to the hub for 1Gig is 1050 - 1143 Mbps
WiFi speeds can vary due to a number of things outside of our control, there is more information here

Trying to downgrade your VM speed to 500 Mbps is unlikely to provide you with any great financial benefit but will open up the possibility of exposing you to a whole heap of VM administrative 'confusion'.
